The full-size Ford F-150 truck is offered in eight trim levels, including the well-appointed STX. The F-150 STX is the second option in the trim lineup, and it shows off many of the updates found in other trim levels for the 2024 model year. The updates begin with its powertrain. In 2023, the F-150 STX was powered by a standard V6 engine. This is upgraded in the 2024 model year to a turbo 2.7-liter V6 unit that generates 325 horsepower with 400 pound-feet of torque. Options offered on the STX trim level include an upgraded suspension system and an electronic-locking rear differential.
The F-150's exterior is boldly modernized in 2024 as well. It sports new wheel designs, updated lighting, and a refreshed grille. The F-150 STX shows off a minimally angled, defined hood with a flat roof and lower-body definition across the sides. The wide grille has curved sides and horizontal crossbars. The tall, rectangular headlights show off a wraparound LED bar. The STX's standard exterior features are a trailer hitch, keyless entry, and 20-inch wheels.
The latest version of the Ford F-150 truck introduces a 12-inch central display screen across all trim levels. The other features offered in the STX hold steady from the previous model year. The STX is almost identically outfitted as the base XL trim level, but it adds carpeted flooring and is available with more options. Standard features include a digital instrument panel, wireless smartphone connections, lane-keeping assistance, rear auto braking, a blind-spot warning, forward collision warning with auto braking, and a rear cross-traffic sensor. Options available for the F-150 STX are a work surface, a wireless phone charger, a household outlet, a towing package, and others.
