 What's New for the 2024 Ford Ranger?
The 2024 Ford Ranger brings exciting updates online with the debut of its fifth generation. In fact, the style, powertrains and trim options have been updated. What can you expect from the 2024 Ranger?
This midsize truck shows off a new look that takes design cues from the ever-popular F-150. Its front end has been completely re-worked and displays a tall nose with a subtly descending hood. The larger-than-life Ford emblem on the grille is flanked by tall, C-shaped LED headlights. Over the sides, the fenders are slightly molded, and the doors are deeply grooved.
The trim lineup for 2024 includes the XL, XLT, Lariat and Raptor. The all-new Raptor is an off-road-capable truck, and it is the only option available with a 3.0-liter turbo, V6 engine. This engine produces 405 horsepower and includes standard four-wheel drive. Its performance is elevated by additional drive modes for off-road functionality, front and rear locking differentials, a wider suspension, Fox suspension dampers and off-road low-speed cruise control. In addition, the Ranger Raptor comes with all-terrain tires, 17-inch wheels, tow hooks at the front and rear, bolstered bucket seats in the front row and upfitter switches.
The lower trim levels are available with two other upgraded engines. These are a 270-horsepower, four-cylinder, turbo 2.3-liter engine and a 315-horsepower, V6, turbo 2.7-liter unit. The lower trims are offered with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive.
The entry-level Ranger LX is well-appointed with features like wireless smartphone integration, a digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch touch display screen, a lane departure warning, forward collision warning and a few other features. Features offered with the 2024 Ranger’s higher trim levels are a digital rear mirror, remote engine start, a household power outlet, front and rear parking sensors, a cloud-based navigation system, a wireless charging pad, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, a 360-degree camera and several others.
