What's New for the 2026 Ford Maverick?
The 2026 Ford Maverick checks off every box on your list for your next midsize truck. This four-door model is only a few years old and received exciting updates last year. As a result, Ford leaves the Maverick unchanged for the 2026 model year. This year's five trim levels are the XL, XLT, Lobo, Lariat, and Tremor.
The 2026 Maverick has modern aesthetics from front to back with a tall, slightly sloped hood and a dramatically raked windshield. At the front, the bumper protrudes outward, and it shows off a rectangular element flanked by molded fog light ports. The grille has a column-style mesh pattern, and it is flanked by comma-style LED headlights. Select trims have all-terrain tires, front tow hooks, skid plates, trailer hitch gear, all-terrain tires, a spray-in bedliner, and other features.
Two powertrains are available for the Maverick’s 2026 model year. For the XL, XLT, and Lariat trim levels, choose a 191-horsepower hybrid system or a 250-horsepower, turbocharged four-cylinder EcoBoost gas engine. The Lobo and Lariat trim levels are only available with the EcoBoost system. Select trims also have hill descent control, upgraded engine cooling, an integrated trailer brake controller, a locking rear differential, trail control, upgraded all-wheel drive, an off-road-tuned suspension, and others.
The Maverick’s standard interior and safety features are lane keeping assistance, forward collision mitigation, cloth upholstery, wireless smartphone app integration, and a six-speaker sound system. The higher Maverick trim levels are also available with a rear center armrest, upgraded upholstery, a navigation system with voice controls, heated seats, a household power outlet, a dual-zone auto climate control system, a heated steering wheel, a 360-degree camera, lane centering, adaptive cruise control, intersection collision mitigation, a blind-spot warning, evasive steering assistance and several others.
