The 2019 Ford EcoSport is a compact crossover that is fun to drive and offers a nice blend of efficiency, versatility, and performance. Some features that were optional last year are standard this year. The 2019 Ford Escape is a compact SUV that offers the perfect blend of performance and utility. Updates for this year include Sync 3 infotainment and keyless start and entry that come standard on most trims.


The 2019 Ford EcoSport has two engines in its lineup. The S, SE, and Titanium trims come standard with a 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine that generates 123 horsepower and 125 lb-ft of torque. The engine is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission that drives the front wheels. The EcoSport SES trim features a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that pumps out 166 horsepower and 149 lb-ft of torque. It is mated to the six-speed automatic and comes standard with all-wheel-drive. The 2.0-liter engine and all-wheel drive are optional on the other trims. The 2019 Ford Escape has three engines in its lineup. The base S trim comes standard with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 168 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque. The SE and SEL trims feature a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 179 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque. The top of the line Titanium trim includes a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that pumps out an impressive 245 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. All engines are paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel-drive is standard on the Titanium and optional on the SE and SEL.


The EcoSport has a tall stance and a nice combination of curves and lines. The SE trim features LED running lights, roof rails, foglights, and body-colored exterior accents. The SES trim includes sporty features such as 17-inch alloy wheels, a sport-tuned suspension, and a rear spoiler. The Black Appearance package adds a black roof and a variety of black exterior styling elements. The Titanium steps up to chrome exterior accents, body-colored bumpers, and a keyless entry pad. The Escape has a shape that has endured the test of time. It does not look like the typical SUV. It features sharp lines and a tall roofline. The SE includes chrome exterior trim, a keyless entry pad, foglights, and roof rails. An optional Sports Appearance package adds 19-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, and blacked-out exterior accents. The SEL's optional Sun and Style package adds 18-inch alloy wheels and a panoramic sunroof. The Titanium comes standard with 19-inch alloy wheels and xenon headlights.


The 2019 Ford EcoSport base S trim comes well-equipped with standard features such as automatic headlights, USB ports, a backup camera, a 4.2-inch center display, cruise control, Bluetooth, and a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel. Higher trims add features such as satellite radio, an upgraded driver information display, and smartphone integration for Apple and Android. The 2019 Ford Escape base S comes nicely equipped with automatic headlights, a 4.2-inch center display, a six-speaker CD system, Bluetooth, a USB port, and a smartphone integration Applink system. Higher trims upgrade to features such as push-button start, dual-zone automatic climate control, dual USB ports, and heated front seats.
