Serving Charlotte, NC
In your search for a strong, dependable full-size truck, it is easy to decide on the Ford F-150. However, the 2025 F-150 is offered in nine trim levels. Often, our customers at Town and Country Ford ask us about the differences between the mid-level XLT and Lariat trims. What should you be aware of before picking out your new truck?
Performance
The 2025 Ford F-150 XLT is equipped with a six-cylinder, turbocharged 2.7-liter gas engine. This 325-horsepower unit features rear-wheel drive and a 10-speed auto-shiftable transmission. The XLT is also offered with an upgraded 5.0-liter V8 engine that puts out 400 horsepower. This engine has the same transmission as standard four-wheel drive. The V8 engine is the only system available with the F-150 Lariat.
Appearance
The F-150 is easy to spot on the road with its solid aesthetics. It shows off a commanding height with pinstripe definition lining the lower sides and fenders. The front end makes a solid impression with its wide grille and tall bumper. The rectangular headlights stand upright and are capped with an LED ribbon on the top and sides. On the F-150 Lariat's exterior, you will find 18-inch alloy wheels and a Class IV trailer hitch. The Lariat adds 20-inch alloy wheels and power-folding side mirrors.
Features
The 2025 Ford F-150 XLT gives you everything you need to be connected and comfortable on the road. Its features include Pro Trailer Backup Assist, a 360-degree camera, a dual-zone auto climate control system, rear auto braking, lane keeping assistance, forward collision mitigation, a blind-spot warning system, a digital instrument panel, a Sync 4 infotainment system with a 12-inch touch display screen, wireless Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay. The Lariat trim level adds to these features with BlueCruise hands-free driving, lane centering, leather upholstery, heated front-seats, power-adjusting pedals, a Bang & Olufsen sound system and several other features.
